“God’s purpose for my life was that I have a passion for God’s glory and that I have a passion for my joy in that glory, and that these two are one passion.” ― Jonathan Edwards
HERE IS a very importantQUESTION: Will you go to Heaven when you die? Here's a quick test. Have you ever told a lie, stolen anything, or used God's name in vain? Jesus said, "Whoever looks at a woman to lust for her has already committed adultery with her in his heart." Have you looked with lust? Will you be guilty on Judgment Day? If you have done those things, God sees you as a lying, thieving, blasphemous adulterer at heart. The Bible warns that if you are guilty you will end up in Hell. God, who the Bible says is "rich in mercy" sent His Son to suffer and die on the cross for guilty sinners. We broke God's Law, but Jesus paid our fine. That means He can legally dismiss our case. He can commute our death sentence: "For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life." Then He rose from the dead and defeated death. Please, repent (turn from sin) today and trust in Jesus alone, and God will grant you the gift of everlasting life. Then read your Bible daily and obey it.
Pastor James E Clark Jr.
Hello, my name is Pastor James E. Clark Jr. and this is not my family, just a picture of them. My awesome wife Sheri, our beautiful daughter Savannah, and my son, who is all boy, Isaiah, want to welcome you to New Salem Baptist. We believe you will feel like you’re at home here and we want you to sit back and get to know us. We believe in one mantra, Jesus, Jesus, Jesus, only Jesus. He is the only thing that matters and we believe He changes lives. No perfect people are allowed here at New Salem just those who are seeking to know Jesus, love Jesus, and serve Jesus so that they can share Jesus. We believe the Bible is our authority and Jesus is God in the flesh. That He died for our sins according to Scriptures, He was buried, and that He rose on the third day according to Scriptures. We hold to a Trinitarian view of God in three distinct persons, God the Father, God the Son, and God the Spirit. We believe in His return, the second coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. God is doing so many wonderful things here at New Salem and we are amazed at the lives He is changing. We are all about family with one Father here at New Salem and we would like to extend an invitation to you to become a part of this family as well. If you would like a visit or call from me, please fill out a request on the contacts page. Be sure to look me up after a service, I would love to welcome you personally.
Your brother in Christ…. Pastor James (Jimbo).........
